Abbas Apparel Machinery Co. started operations in July 1986 in Karachi, and followed a corporate strategy to promote hi-tech equipment and machinery in the Pakistan apparel industry.
We introduced Gerber Technology USA computerized CAD pattern design, grading and marker making systems in Pakistan in 1986 to save fabric, to ensure accuracy in pattern grading and cost estimation through sample markers on the computer, to create pattern and marker storage on the computer, and to allow changes in the patterns on the computer. This revolutionized the apparel industry cutting room, saving time, money and storage space for patterns. The markers made on the computer were printed on the plotter for fabric cutting, increasing throughput, as spreading tables were freed for production cutting. To ensure proper utilization of CAD systems, we trained operators and pattern designers on the Gerber Systems. In 1986, we also introduced computerized cutting systems, each cutter capable of cutting 1,000 14 oz 5 pocket jeans per hour.
Since 1986, continuing our strategy of automation in the apparel industry, we have introduced computer controlled sewing machines, washing and dyeing machines, dryers, overhead production systems and other machinery.
Our first step in introducing new technology is to inform customers the benefits and return on investment of automation. We have trained our engineers and technicians overseas to ensure total support to our customers. We train the operators and maintenance personell of our customers to ensure proper functioning of high technology equipment and systems provided by us to them.
We hope our website Abbas Automation will give you an insight into how you can use Gerber Technology Cutting Room Automation to promote your business, save costs, improve your control on quality and production, and reduce your turnaround time in sampling and buyers’ approvals.
